THE CHAMBER SINGERS WILL PROVIDE A SHORT CONCERT DURING ACE ON THURSDAY JUNE 2 IN THE GYM. ALL ARE WELCOME!! Are you interested in how local government works? Do you want to serve The City of Westbrook? Are you thinking about going into politics?We have an opportunity for you! Please apply to become a student representative for The Westbrook City Council. Applications can be picked up in the Main Office from Mrs. Bailey or in the Aspirations Center from Ms. Sturgis. This will provide real world experience in civic engagement, and it is an opportunity for scholarship money. All interested students are encouraged to apply. The commitment will be one or two meetings per month. The meetings will be in the evenings for between 1 - 2 hours. Applications are due June 10th. Turn in completed applications to Mrs. Bailey - Main Office.

WE ARE SEEKING MORE VOICES FOR NEXT YEAR'S CHAMBER SINGERS (Honors level music class): Would you like the excitement and challenge of singing in an accelerated Chorus? Then please think about auditioning for CHAMBER SINGERS here at WHS. This class usually meets in block 3W. You could end up going on a 2023 spring tour with some awesome fellow singers! You do NOT need to prepare a song -- just set up a time with Ms Proulx who will guide you through a laid-back session to get to know your voice and see if this would be a good fit. If it is, then MS P WILL HELP YOU SIGN UP FOR THIS CLASS. FMI email or see Ms Proulx. "Partners for Prevention is a host site for the Gateway to Opportunity summer program. We will be hiring four or five youth to participate. The program goes from July 11 - August 18th. Hours will be Monday-Thursday 10 am - 3:30 pm. Pay is $15/hour.
