NHS will be selling Valentine's day Carnations during all lunches February 5th- February 12th for $2 a carnation. A personal note can be sent along with the flower if wanted.
There will be a Sustainability Club meeting on Thursday February 13th in room 307 during ACE. We are looking for dedicated freshmen, sophomores and juniors. All current members will be tagged for this meeting. If you are interested in attending for the first time, please request a tag from Mrs. Hedstrom.
The first meeting of the WHS Fishing Club is this Thursday during ACE in room 114. No fishing experience is needed to join the club. Request a tag or email Mr. Anctil if you are interested and/or have any questions.
The National Art Honor Society will be the LAST 15 Min. of ACE on Thursday, Feb 13th at 11:05. Please be on time so we can be efficient. Art Room 315. If you are tagged for that day you will need to get excused from the END of that tag to attend. See me if you will NOT be able to attend before the meeting.

The Westbrook High School Civil Rights Team would like to encourage all students and staff to take time this month, along with every month, to recognize and respond in some positive ways to Black History Month. Read books by black authors, watch films or TV shows by black creators, spark positive conversations about race, wake up, pay attention, and speak out against ignorance whenever you see it or hear it. Black History is American History.
The Chamber Singers are continuing to raise funds for their performance trip to Chicago:
1) this Saturday Feb 15 please come out to Chipotle, 11 Main St in Westbrook from 4-8 pm.
They’ll contribute 33% to us.
Bring the flyer, show it on your smart phone, or tell the cashier you’re there for the chamber singers. Flyers are Mr. Berrang’s table, in the office on the counter, in the teachers room, on the piano outside the band room ....
2) Saturday feb 29 at the MS Gym — Opus One Big Band returns for a night of professional live music featuring some of our own staff and students. Bring your dancin’ shoes!
We’re looking also for silent auction items for this event. Auction opens at 6pm; Swing dance lesson starts at 6:30; concert /dance from 7-8:45pm . Tickets $15 or 2 for $20 available through Music Dept.
Last night at York high school all four of our jazz instrumental ensemble is qualified for the state festival!
The jazz ensemble received a score of 91
The jazz band received a score of 89
The jazz combo A received a score Of 88
The jazz combo B Received a score of 86
With the jazz choir students good luck today as they try to qualify for the state festival in the event being held at Westbrook middle school after school.
We are very proud of all our kids!
The Senior vs. Staff Basketball game will be Wednesday, February 26 @ 6:00 PM. If you are a senior, and interested in playing, please see Mr. Russell.
