The Westbrook High School Civil Rights Team would like to encourage all students and staff to take time this month from September 15th to October 15th to recognize and celebrate Hispanic and Latinx Heritage Month.
The Westbrook High School Civil Rights Team meets Thursdays during ACE in Room 223 - All Students are welcome to attend!
Students may stop in the Main Office for a parking pass form. The cost is $6.00. ALL students must park in the student parking lot-not the teacher lot!
Any Junior or Senior who would like to be on the prom committee, please see Mrs. Locke or Mr. Thornton in order to be tagged for the meeting. First meeting will be on Friday, Sept. 20th.
The Sustainability Club will be having a meeting in room 114 on Tuesday Sept 24 during ACE. If you are on the Google Classroom account already, you will be tagged. If you would like to join, please request a tag from Ms. Hedstrom.
A representative from C.I.E.E. study aboard summer programs will be in Room 114 on Thursday, September 26 during ACE. See Dr. Dyer to request a tag.
Big Brother Big Sister applications are available outside of Dr. Dyer’s door opposite the main office.
Youth Leadership Coalition (YLC) please pick up parent permission slips for the October 1 Youth Summit outside of Dr. Dyer’s office.

Interested in the legislative process? The Maine State Senate is providing students the opportunity to be Honorary Pages through their Honorary Page Program. You get to see firsthand the legislative process and deliver messages and documents to State Senators. Seniors: Confused about financial aid? Want to learn more about it and how you can get money for college?
Mrs. Sturgis will be having workshops during ACE to go over financial aid and how it impacts the college search process. Please see schedule below. If you are interested in attending, send email to Mrs. Sturgis with the workshop and date you want to attend and you will be tagged. Only 20 seniors per workshop. Workshop will be in room 115:

Start your FAFSA Workshop: Thursday, October 3 (must bring social security number)
Seniors - Admissions Reps from Southern Maine Community College will be at the high school on November 19 to help you fill out applications to SMCC. $20 application fee will be waived. If you have an English SAT score above 350 you will be accepted.

Looking for an after school job? We have had a few Westbrook companies contact us with great paying after school jobs. If you are interested in learning more, please stop by the Aspirations Center. You must be 16 or older.
