The Westbrook High School Civil Rights Team would like to encourage all students and staff to take time this month from September 15th to October 15th to recognize and celebrate Hispanic and Latinx Heritage Month.
The Westbrook High School Civil Rights Team meets Thursdays during ACE in Room 223 - All Students are welcome to attend!

Students may stop in the Main Office for a parking pass form. The cost is $6.00. ALL students must park in the student parking lot-not the teacher lot!
Anyone interested in joining Model United Nations, please request an ACE tag from Ms. Locke in room 109 , September 19th, during ACE to gain more information.
The first meeting for National Art Honor Society will be the LAST 15 Min. of ACE on Thursday, September 19 at 11:05. Please be on time as we will be going over the agenda for the year. Art Room 315. If you are tagged for that day you will need to get excused from the END of that tag to attend. See me if you will NOT be able to attend. MS. B.
ALL MUSIC STUDENTS are welcome to attend an informational meeting for this year's TRI-M Music Honor Society on Thursday, September 19, during ACE in the chorus room. YOU CAN RESERVE A PLACE BY REQUESTING A TAG FROM MS PROULX. TRI-M is a volunteer organization through which your service hours are done through musical activities. Come learn how you can apply to be a member. New officers will be elected at the meeting from among the Seniors and Juniors.
Any Junior or Senior who would like to be on the prom committee, please see Mrs. Locke or Mr. Thornton in order to be tagged for the meeting. First meeting will be on Friday, Sept. 20th.
Big Brother Big Sister applications are available outside of Dr. Dyer’s door opposite the main office.
Youth Leadership Coalition (YLC) please pick up parent permission slips for the October 1 Youth Summit outside of Dr. Dyer’s office.
Would you like to be a School Board student representative? Any junior or senior can apply. Interested students need to submit a letter of recommendation from a teacher. The students will also need to submit answers to a series of questions that they may pick up in the Main Office. If you are interested please sign up in the Main Office and Mrs. Bailey will provide you with the questions. The deadline to sign up and submit an application packet will be Sept. 18, 2019. See Ms. Harvey or Gracia Bareti with questions.

Seniors: Confused about financial aid? Want to learn more about it and how you can get money for college?
Mrs. Sturgis will be having workshops during ACE to go over financial aid and how it impacts the college search process. Please see schedule below. If you are interested in attending, send email to Mrs. Sturgis with the workshop and date you want to attend and you will be tagged. Only 20 seniors per workshop. Workshop will be in room 115:

Seniors - Admissions Reps from Southern Maine Community College will be at the high school on November 19 to help you fill out applications to SMCC. $20 application fee will be waived. If you have an English SAT score above 350 you will be accepted.

Looking for an after school job? We have had a few Westbrook companies contact us with great paying after school jobs. If you are interested in learning more, please stop by the Aspirations Center. You must be 16 or older.
