  • The awesome folks from the Locker Project will be in the Cafe at 1:30 dismissal with fresh fruit, vegetables and other food items from area grocery stores…please stop by the cafeteria on your way out and pick up some items to take home for yourself and your family.

 

  • If you are interested in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance during morning announcements, please email baileys@westbrookschools.org

 

  • Students may stop in the Main Office for a parking pass form. The cost is $6.00. ALL students must park in the student parking lot-not the teacher lot!

 

  • Anyone interested in joining Model United Nations, please request an ACE tag from Ms. Locke in room 109 for Thursday, September 19th during ACE to gain more information.

 

  • "The Trailblazers club, Westbrook's Outing Club, is hosting an after school information and gear session on Thursday.  Those interested in joining the outing club should see Mr. Davis or Ms. Keefe and/or attend the event.  Meet in room 207 after school on this coming Thursday."

  •  

  • The Civil Rights Team will meet Friday during ACE in room 223. There will be food!

 

  • There will be a key club meeting this Friday during ace in the Cafe for returning and new members.

 

  • The new Sustainability Club will be holding their first meeting on Friday Sept 13 during the second part  of ACE (10:45- it's a long ACE that day).  If you are interested in helping the school be more environmentally aware, and reducing our environmental impact, request a tag from Mrs. Hedstrom for Friday.

 

  • Big Brother Big Sister applications are available outside of Dr. Dyer’s door opposite the main office. Big Brothers Big Sisters will be in the cafe on Thursday and Friday.  If you would like to be a mentor in the program, please sign up!

 

  • The WHS Interact Club will be visiting Springbrook Nursing Home on Thursday during ACE.  Please get a permission slip from Dr. Dyer (bulletin board outside of Room 215 opposite the main office).  You must have a signed permission slip to participate.

 

  • TEEN TRENDSETTERS: Any students interested in joining please see Mr. Russell in room 101 or email him at russellm@westbrookschools.org.

Seniors: Confused about financial aid? Want to learn more about it and how you can get money for college? 

Mrs. Sturgis will be having workshops during ACE to go over financial aid and how it impacts the college search process. Please see schedule below. If you are interested in attending, send email to Mrs. Sturgis with the workshop and date you want to attend and you will be tagged. Only 20 seniors per workshop. Workshop will be in room 115:

Start your FAFSA Workshop: Thursday, October 3 (must bring social security number)

 

  • Seniors - Admissions Reps from Southern Maine Community College will be at the high school on November 19 to help you fill out applications to SMCC. $20 application fee will be waived. If you have an English SAT score above 350 you will be accepted.

Interested? Please email Mrs. Sturgis, Aspirations Counselor, to get on the list.  

 

Looking for an after school job? We have had a few Westbrook companies contact us with great paying after school jobs. If you are interested in learning more, please stop by the Aspirations Center. You must be 16 or older.

  • Picture retake day is October 30.

 

  • Are you interested in traveling to this spring? Bring a parent or guardian  to the informational meeting on Thursday September 19 at 6:30pm.  Room 114.  Contact hedstromr@westbrookschools.org to  RSVP.
