If you would like to show support in light of the recent violence in New Zealand for the Muslim Communities here in Southern Maine, please join us in writing letters to show our support, solidarity and appreciation. We have made great strides with making our school a more environmentally friendly place this year. At lunch time, Wendy has been spending her time sorting through the bins, and picking silverware out of the compost and trash.

* COMPOSTING (green bin with orange): Please put ONLY FOOD AND PAPER

* RECYCLING IN THE CAFE: All recycling must be EMPTY and CLEAN. If you are questioning an item, it is better to throw it in the trash than to contaminate the recycling.

* REAL SILVERWARE: Please DON'T THROW IT AWAY, and please don't take it out of the cafe. If you must take a fork to go, there are some plastic forks available

Juniors: Do you want to take a college class next fall? Schedules for USM, SMCC, Husson, UMaine and UMFK are out. Please see Mrs. Sturgis asap if you are interested. Each college has their own SAT and GPA requirements.

The Portland Sea Dogs are hosting their 12th Annual College Fair on Wednesday, May 8 from 3-5pm. Each student attending the fair receives two complimentary tickets to the 6pm baseball game. Names are due by April 12. If you are interested in attending please send an email to Mrs. Sturgis, Aspirations Counselor

For safety reasons, no students should be in the building before or after that without a specific plan in place with an adult in the building who can supervise them. Please communicate these hours to your parents so you don't have to wait outside after school.
