Congratulations to the hard working students of Westbrook High School! This is an achievement that we all can share in - you all work with these students on a daily basis - thank you for instilling a sense of pride, resiliency, and hard work in our students! On Friday Night we host Maine Finals for Marching Band - and Westbrook, led by senior drum major Jack Shibles, earned their 7th Gold Medal since 2010 with a score of 4.92 out of a possible 5. Their show performance of "Hallelujah!" received 5 out of 5 in all captions including - Color Guard, Music, Visual, Percussion, Overall Effect, and Drum Major.
The French Club will be hosting an Eiffel Tower Building Competition on Monday, October 29th after school. This is a team building competition so you will need to decide on a partner to build it with. Please sign-up with Mr. Morin in room 214.
All Boys interested in playing basketball should attend an informational meeting on October 30Th in the gym immediately after school. Failure to attend this meeting may impact your tryout process.
On Tuesday evening, October 30 at 7:00pm in the auditorium, WHS students will be moderating a city-wide debate featuring candidates for City Council and School Committee.
The Math Center is up and running. Please stop by if you need help or have any questions about math homework you have. Mondays & Thursdays 2:30-4:00 in rooms 104 & 106.

Building hours for students are 7am to 2:30pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and 7am to 1:30pm on Wednesdays. For safety reasons, no students should be in the building before or after that without a specific plan in place with an adult in the building who can supervise them. Please do not arrive at school before 7am, as it is getting cold out and we don't want you waiting outside. This is the same for after school pick-up. Please communicate these hours to your parents so you don't have to wait outside after school.
Any freshman who is interested in running for Student Council Rep, please sign up in the Main Office. Elections will be held on November 6 in the cafeteria and all freshmen will be voting. There are three positions available for the Freshman Class.
Interested in the military? The ASVAB test is a required test for the military and it will be offered at the high school for free on Wednesday, December 19. Any sophomore, junior or senior is eligible to take it. Space is limited. Send email to Mrs. Sturgis to be added the list.
Anyone interested in playing a Winter sport please go online to sign up @ www.westbrookschools.org. You only need to sign up once each year so if you have previously signed up for a fall sport, you do not need to sign up again. Any questions please see Mrs. Wescott in the guidance office.
SPECTRUM WHS' LGBT+ CLUB: We will be meeting on Thursdays from now on! All are welcome!
All students must park in the student lot & have a parking pass. Please stop by the Main Office to pick up the parking pass form. The cost is $6.00. Passes must be purchased each year.
Mrs. Sbardella is available for after-school tutoring on Mondays & Thursdays from 2:30-4 in Room 323. Even if you need a quiet place to study and/or do HW, please stop by...
