"WHS is having a Blood Drive (sponsored by the National Honor Society) on May 3rd.  All students and staff are welcome to sign-up to donate.  You must be 17+ years old (16 with parental consent...paperwork must be filled out prior to donating).  See Mr. Chabot in room 211 if you need more details/paperwork.  Official Registration will happen from April 23rd - May 2nd during lunches.  Anyone that wants to sign-up early can see Mr. Chabot in room 211."

 

All girls and boys participating in spring track & field - practice starts today March 26th, meet in the cafe at 3:00 ready to run!

 

Any girl still planning on playing Girls Lacrosse who couldn't attend the meeting, please stop by and see Coach Messuri Monday in Room 309.

 

 "NHS Meeting(s): Current NHS members only, we will have a meeting during ACE on Tuesday 3/27 to discuss upcoming events. We will meet in the Auditorium. This is a very important meeting, so I am asking all members be present.  If you can not make the ACE meeting, please show up to the information meeting directly after school in room 211 also on Tuesday. This option is for those that can't be present during the ACE meeting.  Any questions or concerns, please see Mr. Chabot in room 211."

 

Boy’s tennis meeting at the community center today, March 26th at 4:15pm in one of the planning/meeting rooms at the WCC.

 

All are invited to tonight’s Spring HS Chorus Concert featuring Concert Chorus, Chamber Singers, Jazz Choir and Dudes Group. 

All singers will report to stage at 6 pm 

Concert will start at 7 pm

Long Winter getting you down?  Burst into spring with Hawaiian Day next Wednesday, March 28. Wear your Hawaiian attire——shirts, shorts, straw hats, bring your ukuleles-- whatever you have to make a statement that winter is over!  Be creative, have fun!  Sponsored by the WHS Interact Club.  ALOHA!!!

 

Westbrook is hosting a Community Reading Event. We invite members of the community read Wonder by P.J. Palacio in honor of the movie release. Please visit your school library or Walker Memorial Library to borrow a copy of the book. In addition to reading Wonder, we are hosting a writing contest and a community viewing of the movie. Please see the attached documents for more details. 

 

For Juniors Only:  The University of Maine (Orono) admissions representative will be at the high school on Monday, May 21 to meet with juniors one-on-one. Using your transcript and SAT scores, you will get a "pre-read" on your application and find out about merit scholarships and ways to improve your application. Are you taking the right classes next year for your major? Come meet with UMaine to learn more. Only 30 spots available. To save your spot email Mrs. Sturgis, Aspirations Coordinator.

 

All PM WRVC are expected to be in ACE every day until 10:50, at which time they will be dismissed from ACE to report directly to WRVC.  Students who are not in ACE or leave early will be marked unexcused absent.

 

WHS' LGBT+ club will be meeting on Thursdays after school in Ms. Joyce's room – 108.

 

Students are required to purchase a parking pass for $6.00 in the Main Office to be eligible to park in the Student Lot at the high school. Students who do not have a parking pass will be ticketed.  Students are not allowed to park in the teacher lot.
