Congratulations to the hard working students of Westbrook High School! This is an achievement that we all can share in - you all work with these students on a daily basis - thank you for instilling a sense of pride, resiliency, and hard work in our students! On Friday Night we host Maine Finals for Marching Band - and Westbrook, led by senior drum major Jack Shibles, earned their 7th Gold Medal since 2010 with a score of 4.92 out of a possible 5. Their show performance of "Hallelujah!" received 5 out of 5 in all captions including - Color Guard, Music, Visual, Percussion, Overall Effect, and Drum Major. Please come out to support our amazing students as they try to earn their 7th gold medal! For safety reasons, no students should be in the building before or after that without a specific plan in place with an adult in the building who can supervise them. Please do not arrive at school before 7am, as it is getting cold out and we don't want you waiting outside. This is the same for after school pick-up. Please communicate these hours to your parents so you don't have to wait outside after school

All students who have PE or music related classes during period 1B, 2B or ACE today, please make a note that you will not be able to use interior halls to get to those classes. You will be traveling between the main entrance and the gym/band lobby doors to get to those classes. We ask that you do so in a quiet fashion, as the Maine Supreme Court will be hearing cases during this time. Building hours for students is 7am to 2:30pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and 7am to 1:30pm on Wednesdays. NAHS - Please stop by the art rooms to pick up the permission form for the October 19, Camp Sunshine field trip to Beans. We need to have a complete list of students who are going by Tuesday October 9. Today, Tuesday, is a WHITE day. Tomorrow morning, Wednesday, all students grades 9-11 will be taking the PSAT, typically with their ACE advisors. The seniors will be with their ACE groups in post high school planning workshops. From 12-1:30 all students will be with their ACE groups and engaging in school wide, student led conversations about community climate and culture. It will be a regular early dismissal day at 1:30.
